Date of Birth: 13th August 1963

Sridevi's first faced the camera as a 4-year-old. She debuted as a heroine in a Tamil film and ruled the South until she made the transition into Bollywood.

She was noticed - rather unflatteringly - in Himmatwala and was nicknamed "Thunder Thighs" by the press. With leading roles in Nagin, Sadma, Mr India, Lamhe and Chandni, Sridevi established herself as one of the highest paid actresses in the industry.

Sridevi retired after marrying producer Boney Kapoor, who was already married. She and Boney have two daughters, Jhanvi and Khushi.
