Kareena and Saif started shooting for Tashan in June 2007. At the time both were in independent relationships. However, Kareena suspected Shahid’s infidelity and had a detective tailing him. Saif, by then, was sure that Rosa and he were not going to work. When the two met, there was instant attraction, but they were both in relationships. It’s this will-it-won’t-it, should-it-shouldn’t-it feeling that translated on screen. They were trying hard to mask their feelings and therefore looked indifferent despite playing lovers in the movie.

Date of Birth: 16th August 1970

Saif Ali Khan is the son of former Indian cricket captain Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore. He debuted in 1992 in Yash Chopra's Parampara, but his first hits were as Akshay Kumar's co-actor in Yeh Dillagi and Main Khiladi Tu Anari.

He has established himself as an actor unafraid of experimenting and has done well in films such as Parineeta, Omkara and Dil Chahta Hai.

Saif was previously married to Amrita Singh, 12 years older to him. He has two children, Sara and Ibrahim. Following his divorce from Amrita, Saif was dating an Italian model, Rosa. He is currently dating Kareena Kapoor.
