Date of Birth: 3rd September 1976

Vivek Oberoi, the son of actor Suresh Oberoi, had a sensational debut in Ram Gopal Varma's film about the underworld, Company. He was hailed as the next best thing for entering the industry in an unconventional role and proved his commercial viability in the soft and touching romance, Saathiya, opposite Rani Mukherji.

Despite powerful performances in Yuva, Omkara and Shootout at Lokhandwala, Vivek is yet to be recognised as a big-league actor, probably due to his volatile personal life.

Vivek's relationship with Aishwarya Rai resulted in a public war of words with Salman Khan, which alienated him within the industry. Since then his career seems to have been side-tracked though he has been signed on for 'Krissh 3', the latest in the 'Koi Mil Gaya' franchise.

In 2010, Vivek married Bangalore-based Priyanka Alva. It was a match arranged by his parents.
