Date of Birth: 15th May 1967

Madhuri Dixit's million dollar smile and powerhouse performances have made her an icon of Hindi cinema. After reigning as the industry's top actress, Madhuri, who was best known for her graceful dance, left Mumbai for marriage and raising her two sons.

Her best known films are Tezaab, Dil, Beta, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Devdas, Dil to Pagal Hai and Khalnayak.

Madhuri returned to the silver screen at the age of 42 in the 2007 film Aaja Nachle. Although the film didn't do too well, her return was warmly welcomed by the industry and fans.

She was dating actor Sanjay Dutt until he was arrested on suspicion of terrorist links.

Madhuri is married to Dr Shriram Nene and has two sons, Arin and Ryan. She is settled in the United States.
