Dimple Kapadia was introduced to Indian audiences by Raj Kapoor in his movie Bobby. She was just 16 and became the nation's sweetheart. Despite the film's massive success, she shocked the public by quitting the industry to marry then superstar Rajesh Khanna. She has 2 daughters, Twinkle Khanna and Rinkie Khanna.

After a divorce from Khanna, she returned to acting in 1985 in Saagar and was embroiled in controversy for briefly appearing topless in the film.

Dimple is currently single but is believed to be in a serious relationship with Sunny Deol.
