Deepika Padukone is the daughter of badminton champion Prakash Padukone. Born in Denmark, Deepika was an established model before Farah Khan selected her to star opposite Shahrukh Khan in the 2007 blockbuster Om Shanti Om.

Deepika Padukone personal live has also been in the spotlight. She once lived in with boyfriend Nihar Pandya, but since their breakup she has been rumoured to have dated Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh and was also once courted by Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. She is now dating Ranbir Kapoor, with whom she was also linked previously.
