Date of Birth: 5th August 1975

Kajol hails from an illustrious film family. Her grandmother Shobana Samarth was a leading actress of her time. Kajol's mother Tanuja and aunt Nutan were also famous actresses and her father Shomu Mukherjee was a film producer.

Described as a dynamite actress, her pairing with Shahrukh Khan was box-office bonanza especially following the success of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.

She took a break from cinema after marrying actor Ajay Devgan and giving birth to a daughter, Nysa.

Kajol returned to Bollywood in 2005 with the film Fanaa opposite Aamir Khan.
