Amrita Singh

Date of Birth: 9th February 1958

Born into an accomplished family, Amrita's film career started with the highly successful film Betaab opposite fellow debutante Sunny Deol. She was a leading actress in the 1980s delivering hits with actors such as Anil Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan.

She quit cinema in the early 1990s when she married Saif Ali Khan, 12 years younger than her. Amrita was also one of the first actresses in Bollywood to experiment with negative roles. She returned to Bollywood in 2007 with her roles in Kalyug and Shootout at Lokhandwala.

She is now divorced from Saif and has 2 children, Sara and Ibrahim.
