Aishwarya Rai, a former Miss World, is one of India's leading actresses. Also a former model, Aishwarya has about 40 films to her credit including a couple of Hollywood projects.

Aishwarya married Abhishek Bachchan in 2007 after a courtship that began on the sets of Mani Ratnam's 'Guru'. Abhishek is three years Ash's junior.

On June 21, 2011, her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan announced that Aishwarya and Abhishek are expecting their first child.
