Bipasha Basu has a new role! It's that of a choreographer and the person who will dance to her tunes is none other than former Australian cricketer Andrew Symmonds. Symmonds is geared up to perform at the opening ceremony of the Celebrity Cricket League tournament. For his special performance, he will have Bipasha teaching him the moves of her famous item song 'Beedi jalaile' from Omkara. The world famous cricketer landed in Mumbai last week and has been preparing for his performance!
The reason he was chosen to dance was because the organisers wanted to do something different for the opening ceremony. Since this tournament has actors from the industry playing cricket, they thought of getting real cricketers to step into the actors' shoes and perform on stage. The only criterion was that the sportsmen needed to know how to dance and that's when they thought of Symmonds. He will learn Bips'moves while she will check out whether he has what it takes to be a movie star!
The CCL opening ceremony has a lot of exciting items on the agenda. For one, Ayushmann Khurrana and Riteish Deshmukh will anchor the show. Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan will perform live. Sri Lankan cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya will be on stage, questioning the actors on their knowledge of the game of cricket, while the actors will test the dancing skills of cricketers. Sounds like a lot of fun!
