Shakti Kapoor's son detained by police
Drugs valued at Rs1 million also recovered from rave party
Siddhant Kapoor, son of Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor (pictured), was among 240 youths, including 38 women, detained after the police raided a rave party early on Monday morning.
They were released in the afternoon after medical examination and after their blood samples were collected and sent for a forensic analysis.
The Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Mumbai police raided the rave party at the Mumbai 72 Degrees East club, in the posh Juhu area, and detained the young men and women apart from seizing a large quantity of drugs, deputy commissioner of police Vishwas Nagre-Patil told IANS.
The police also arrested eight drug peddlers..
The police recovered 104 tablets of ecstasy, 540 drops of ecstacy and other drugs like charas and cocaine, collectively valued at Rs.1 million, Nagre-Patil said.
The reports of all the youth have been dispatched for forensic analysis.
“After we receive their reports within a month, all those persons found positive shall be arrested,” Nagre-Patil said.
