Fan names shop after the singer
Sonu Nigam is one of the most popular singers in India, having inspired thousands of young singers across the country.
The singer, who has sung countless songs not only in Hindi but also in many regional languages, was taken by surprise when he learnt that one of his fans in Laddakh has named his salon Sonu Nigam Hair Cutting (see photo).
Because of its remote location, people in Laddakh are not very aware of Bollywood actors and singers. But it seems Sonu Nigam is fairly popular there.
Said Sonu: "It feels really great to know that I have a fan following in places like Laddakh. It also gives me a feeling of contentment that my voice reaches them and entertains them."
