Couture crazy

The fashion show season is off to a great start in the Subcontinent with the Couture Week in Mumbai. Featuring 11 leading Indian designers, Couture Week will see the likes of Suneet Varma, Ritu Kumar, JJ Valaya, Rohit Bal and Tarun Tahiliani showcasing their designs.

Mumbai’s style set was also on hand to celebrate the announcement of the launch of the Lakme Fashion Week in October. Vidya Malvade, AD Singh, Tara Sharma, Nethra Raghuraman and Kelly Dorji were among the guests present.

Ayesha at chivas

This year’s Chivas Fashion Tour will see Dubai-based Ayesha Depala join other well-known designers like Rohit Bal. Ayesha will showcase her 2009 spring/summer collection of ready-to-wear and haute couture in Mumbai on September 28 and also at the grand finale in Dubai on November 21– incidentally her first fashion show in Dubai!

Shoes galore

Valencia launches its autumn/winter collection hitting stores now. Its diverse range comprises clean and sophisticated cuts, as well as gothic and bohemian styles. Boasting a wide range of nudes and berry tones, it’s bound to end up in your closet.

Party of the year

This may just be the party you HAVE to attend.
