Highlights include a charity drive and Iftars for children with special needs

To observe the month of Ramadan, Festival Centre, the heart of Dubai Festival City, has lined up a number of activities for families.

To highlight the true meaning of Ramadan, Festival Centre is launching a charity drive with local and international charity organisations to encourage guests to donate during the holy month. Charity stands have been positioned throughout the Centre, making it easy for shoppers and visitors to make their donations for those in need during Ramadan

To raise awareness for these important charities, Festival Centre, alongside a number of retailers, will be holding a series of events, including Iftar dinners for children with special needs.

On September 17 India Palace will host a special Iftar followed by an informative lecture from the Dubai Autism Centre, on how Autism can impact families and where they can find help. I

ftars will also be held at Gourmet Burger Kitchen on September 18 and Burger King on September 25.

After Iftar, children can participate in face painting, and get carried away with other entertaining surprises hosted by the retail outlets. For public participation email irina.ionascu@festivalcentre.com

Guests at Festival Centre can break their fast at over 60 restaurants and cafes with food options of an array of local and international cuisines.

Every night guests can also enjoy the sounds of Oud, complemented during weekends by a Tabla accompaniment. Daily timings: 9pm, 10pm and 11pm for 45 minutes.

Throughout Ramadan, Festival Centre will be open daily until 1am.
