Sherlyn Chopra to replace Jade Goody?

With Jade Goody on her way back to the UK, speculations are rife whether bikini babe Sherlyn Chopra will be replaced with her in 'Bigg Boss' to boost the hoopla.

“But for Sherlyn to say 'yes' to 'Bigg Boss', she needs a great incentive,” said her publicist Dale Bhagwagar. "Only if she gets what she deserves to be away for a full three months from the promotions of her latest musical success 'Dard-e-Sherlyn', will she agree to be on the show," he added.

"With her characteristic boldness and flamboyance, she is able and capable to make TRPs of any TV programme hit the roof, and we all know that," Bhagwagar said. "But I'm sure; she won't be interested in it without the perks".

It can be recalled that after being in discussion for appearing on “Bigg Boss”, the firebrand was shown the door as her two conditions could not be met on time. She had asked for a sum of Rs 3 crore for her 3-month stay in the “Bigg Boss” house. Since, after her first music album “Outrageous”, her second album “Dard-e-Sherlyn” has also become a runaway success, she felt that only a decent price could keep her inside the house for three months.

It is also learnt that Sherlyn had suggested that the makers install cameras even in bathrooms of the house, so that she could flaunt her vast collection of colourful bikinis and inner wear while bathing

It can be recalled that the practice of cameras in the bathrooms of such a reality show existed in UK's “Big Brother” earlier, until Shilpa Shetty got the practice discontinued two years ago, with a clause in her contract stating it went against her ethics and culture.

But since “Bigg Boss” found Sherlyn's demands outrageous, she was not selected as one of the housemates.

Will they take her back?

The other possible replacement could be Jhanvi Kapoor, the dancer who created a big scene after attempting suicide on the day of the Abhishek-Aishwarya wedding. She now plans to go to court against the production house Endemol.

The other name doing the rounds is that of Manyata Dutt who has absolutely no time to spare from her routine of being with her husband Sanjay Dutt who is at home after his shoot of "Blue" got cancelled.

The spokesperson for "Bigg Boss" adds that they have readied a replacement, but the name will be only announced on the show. She said that the new person will not be introduced immediately but much later as a wild card entry. She has however neither accepted or denied the presence of either Sherlyn, Jhanvi or Manyata on the show.

Meanwhile, furious at their leader Ramdas Athavale being dropped from "Big Boss 2", hundreds of Republican Party of India (RPI) workers on Tuesday ransacked the office of Colors television channel and blocked the road outside.

The parliamentarian's supporters barged into the offices of the newly opened channel in Andheri East, Mumbai, and broke windowpanes, damaged furniture and fittings inside and outside the premises.

About 500 RPI workers staged a roadblock outside the office on the busy Andheri-Kurla road, which leads to the airport, and also burnt an effigy of actor Shilpa Shetty who is hosting the show. Shetty had won Britain's version of the show last year.

According to RPI's Mumbai district president Vivek Pawar, the channel called Athavale on August 16 and then suddenly rejected him without assigning any reason.

"We feel that he has been rejected mainly because he belongs to a Scheduled Caste," Pawar told IANS, alleging sectarian bias.

Two people have been arrested on charges of rioting.
