Rahul Bose's Moth Smoke delayed
It's because of Delhi's weather, says the actor-director
Rahul Bose is all geared to wield the megaphone once again. Everybody Says I'm Fine marked the actor's debut as a director. Bose's second directorial venture is based on Mohsin Hamid's Moth Smoke. Rahul has already bought the rights to convert the book into a film.
Rahul plans to start filming Moth Smoke at the beginning of next year. But why the delay?
"The story of Moth Smoke requires me to shoot in Delhi. I wanted to start my film by this year end. But I realised that Delhi is usually very foggy during November-December and thus had to push my plans. I will now start shooting only in the beginning of next year," says Rahul.
The story of Moth Smoke requires Rahul to shoot extensively in Lahore too. The actor says that he will try his best to acquire required permission to shoot in our neighboring country.
"Shooting across the border is something I am looking forward to! But if I don't get permission then I will have to start looking for other options," he says.
Rahul chooses to be tightlipped about the lead too. Has he approached anybody or is he going to play the central character himself?
"I am keeping my options open for that too! It is too early to say anything though I did make a brief appearance in Everybody Says I'm Fine."
Rahul also denies having approached Sushmita Sen for the female lead in the film. "It is not true," he says.
