Is Harman the poor man’s Hrithik?

Is there more to the Hrithik-Harman comparison than meets the eye? In an interview with a leading Indian daily Harman once said, "If I resemble somebody, it's not my fault. My mum and dad have done that." Oookay!

Co-star and rumoured beau Priyanka also came to his defence stating that Shahid Kapur was compared to Shah Rukh Khan and SRK himself to Dilip Kumar. But it does need to be noted that the latter were compared based on their style of acting rather than their looks and image. So are the Bawejas playing up on the similarities or is it all a big coincidence? Masala! weighs in...

THE FACE
Harman's light eyes and jawline are so reminiscent of Hrithik, that if not alike, at least one would think of them as brothers!

Verdict: The credit for Harman's acquiline features are definitely due to striking it rich in the gene pool.

They have both acted in science fictions - Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish for Hrithik and Love Story 2050 for Harman.

Verdict: Hrithik made sci-fi fashionable in B'wood and the Bawejas are taking advantage of this filmi trend.

Priyanka Chopra
Harman's co-star and rumoured girlfriend was also Hrithik's co-star in Krrish.

Verdict: Priyanka is only guilty of standing by her boyf; something any gal would do.

Image and styling
Harman's inner coterie is said to have advised him to model himself along Hrithik's looks and style. Note the stubble and overall dress sense.

Verdict: Definitely see Hrithik's influence here!

Filmmaker fathers
Hrithik's dad Rakesh Roshan and Harman's dad Harry Baweja have been around movies way before the Hindi film industry was titled Bollywood!

Verdict: What can we say... Harman, like Hrithik, Abhishek and a host of others, is just plain lucky!

Dance factor
You cannot shake off a sense of déjà vu when you watch Harman grooving to Milo Na Milo in his debut flick. The music reminds one of Hrithik's Dil Mera Har Baar Yeh from Kaho Na... while the choreography reminds one of Hrithik's cool Main Aisa Kyun Hoon from Lakshya.

Verdict: Hrithik's dance moves are legendary and Harman is riding piggy back on that.

Masala! Verdict:
While there are some natural similarities, the Bawejas have definitely ridden on the Hrithik wave.
