Smita Patil's son in the limelight

Not long back he was dating Sharon Prabhakar's daughter and now every single girl has her eyes on him.

Prateik Babbar, Smita Patil and Raj Babbar's son, may have had a small role in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (as Genelia's brother), but he has already won the hearts of all.

Initially, Raj Babbar was very much against his son's decision to act in this film as he wished for a much bigger debut for him. But ultimately he was happy to encourage his son and even turned up at the film's premiere along with the full Babbar clan.

Prateik's grandmother too came to see her his debut film. She shed tears of joy when she saw the response of the audience and hugged him tightly. Prateik was also seen crying.

Even Big B congratulated Prateik personally and shook hands with Raj Babbar at the premiere.

In fact, in one of the entries on his blog, Amitabh Bachchan has written about how Prateik reminded him of Smita Patil and he also reminisced about her as a colleague and friend.
