BIG Pictures, the Reliance BIG Entertainment Company, released Love Story 2050 on 1055 screens across 898 locations worldwide on July 4.

Love Story 2050 marked the biggest ever global release of a debutant actor in the Indian film industry.

The film released on 722 locations across 873 screens (367 prints & 355 digital screens) with more than 2500 shows scheduled per day in India.  In the overseas market, the film released with 176 locations (North America - 66, UK - 38, Gulf - 25, Australia - 11, Pakistan - 10) with more than 700 shows per day, which is comparable to top mainstream Bollywood releases.

The Global Premiere of the film was held at Cine World Feltham in London on July 2, 2008. The premiere, hosted by the London distribution office of BIG Pictures, was attended by the debutant male lead, Harman Baweja, the leading lady, Priyanka Chopra, the versatile Boman Irani and the producer-director, Harry Baweja.

Speaking on the occasion of the release, Harry Baweja said: "It is an extremely emotional day for the whole cast and crew who have worked tirelessly over the past two years in the making of this film. When you set out to do something that has never been attempted before (genre-wise or budget-wise or scale-wise), one comes across various challenges, which, while being obstacles also spur you to put your heart and soul into the project. I am glad that we partnered with the Reliance ADA Group for this film, who have not only stood by me during making of this film but have also been instrumental in giving the film widest possible release globally."

Presented and Co-Produced by Adlabs, and Baweja Movies, Love Story 2050 is a romantic and emotional love story spanning two generations. Set against the backdrop of present day Adelaide (Australia) and Mumbai (India) in 2050, Love Story 2050 is India's first sci-fi film as well as one of the most expensive films ever made in the country from the perspective of below the line production cost.
