Naeem Khan's father and grandfather designed clothes for Indian royalty. The India-born New York-based designer dresses world celebrities. Naeem apprenticed with American designer Halston as a teenager and presented his debut collection in 2003. His followers now include the likes of Beyonce.
Eva Longoria, we believe, is a particular fan. She sits front row at his fashion shows and wears his collections readily. Here they are, posing happily for photographers.
Naeem takes traditional Indian textiles and embroidery techniques and re-invents them for the red carpet brigade. Sensuous, floor-sweeping gowns are his signature.
