Stars in uncomfortable situations at Vidya Balan’s reception
Celebs control their fighting to let the newlyweds have the spotlight
The event being talked about all over town is Siddarth Roy Kapur and Vidya Balan's grand wedding reception at Ronnie Screwala's Breach Candy residence this past weekend. It was a grand affair, what with the guest list and all the star clashes! We couldn't ask for more Masala!
The first awkward moment was when veteran actress Rekha arrived at the party and coincidentally found herself directly beside Mrs. Jaya Bachchan! But the latter wisely walked off to another room in search of something... or somebody... anybody!
Something similar happened with Arjun Rampal. He recently rubbished the news of a fall-out with SRK but still gave Badshah Khan the cold shoulder! However, Karan Johar stuck to his statement of ‘all's fine' between him and Shah Rukh, and the two sailed smoothly through the evening together.
An ‘ouch' moment was when Priyanka Chopra saw King Khan arrive with his better half, Gauri Khan, in best friends Sussanne and Hrithik Roshan's SUV. Priyanka fled the party moments late! She probably dreaded a potential verbal attack from Gauri Khan and her GOG (Gang of Girls)!
While everybody avoided star fireworks to allow newlyweds Siddharth and Vidya to take centre stage, Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan made sure to do the same. Ash has had a huge fallout with the UTV head honchos and Madhur Bhandarkar over ‘Heroine', but thanks to dad-in-law Amitabh and his fondness for Vidya ever since ‘Paa', all went smoothly at the reception! We wish we could have been there to see all the uncomfortable moments first hand!
