Karan Johar missing from SRK’s New Year party

It was reported that KJo flew off to Dubai to bring in the New Year with good pal Shah Rukh. However, reliable sources reveal that though Karan was very much in Dubai, he was not present for the dinner held at SRK's sprawling mansion!  Shocking but true, he did stay away from the celebration... Looks like Karan is showing Salman that he's not taking any sides, since he was invited by both Shah Rukh and Salman to their New Year bashes.

After much deliberation, KJo decided to fly to Dubai with designer pal Manish Malhotra. Everyone assumed that he was obviously part of Shah Rukh and Gauri's New Year celebrations. But surprisingly, both Manish and him, at the last moment decided to stay away from the rest of the clan who were enjoying dinner at Shah Rukh's! Sources say that these two decided to celebrate someplace else. Those present at Shah Rukh's mansion were Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor along with their children, Boney Kapoor and Sridevi with their two daughters, Chunky and Bhavna Pandey with their kids, and Rajiv Shukla.

With Arjun and Mehr Rampal, Hrithik and Sussanne Roshan, and now Karan and Manish missing at SRK's, it goes to show that tradition has been broken indeed! Like we said yesterday, perhaps there is a new King Khan in Bollywood that everyone is trying to appease...SRK's clout seems to be coming to an end.
