Ranbir Kapoor snubs Imran Khan’s house party

Bollywood doesn't fall short of occasions to party, the most recent being at Aamir Khan's uncle Nasir Hussain's residence. Occasion? The Pali Hill iconic bungalow's 50^th anniversary.

The event witnessed Bollywood's A-listers with names including Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Karan Johar, Alvira Khan, newlyweds Genelia-Riteish Deshmukh, Saif Ali Khan with wife Kareena Kapoor and sis-in-law Karisma Kapoor, debutant Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, and hosted by Aamir Khan with wife Kiran Rao and Imran Khan with wife Avantika Mallik.

However, an insider from the bash says the guest list also included Shahid Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, who both gave the party a miss. While we hear that Shahid called Imran to convey his regrets since he was busy shooting in Mysore, we wonder why Ranbir Kapoor, who stays just a few blocks away at Krishnaraj, gave it a miss?

Another highlight of the party was Aamir's ex-wife Reena, who made an entry with daughter Ira, looking dazzling in a red sari. Aamir explained the cinematic lineage of the house saying that in several movies, parties were shot on the bungalow's sprawling lawns, and that very few such bungalows are left that have cinematic history. Some of them include the late Dev Anand's, Dilip Kumar's and the late Raj Kapoor's bungalows. Even if Ranbir decided not to go, we certainly wish we could have been there.
