Is Sallu getting worse with time?
The megastar's rocky private life may have taken a toll on him
If there is one star whose life has been a roller-coaster ride, who has seen tremendous highs and terrible lows and whose exploits can make for a best-seller novel… it’s Salman Khan. It’s been a tremendous year for Salman who began with the 100-crore hit Ek Tha Tiger and is now ending it with Dabangg 2. Salman has changed a lot in the last three years. In fact, the new Sallu is just a pale shadow of the bratty hell-raiser of the 90s. However, that doesn’t mean he has turned a saint! We present the good and the not-so-good side of Bollywood’s oldest bachelor. Has be changed for the better or has he gotten worse?
SALLU HAS STOPPED…
There was a time was when Salman couldn’t have ingest enough of his villainous spirits! His fondness for grape led to the infamous hit-and-run accident and he would also be seen puffing away to glory! Of late though, Sallu has almost turned into a teetotaller and has given up smoking – in his own quirky way. Apparently, he carries an unlit cigarette with him and plays with it, rolls it on his lips and pretends to smoke but doesn’t light up!
…Doing Meaningless Favours for People
That Salman has a large heart needs no elaboration. Earlier, he used to be the go-to guy whenever a filmmaker’s movie was stuck or when a struggling actor needed a star cameo. Several directors have cheated him with their sob stories, by not paying him his price. The new Salman is more professional. He still does favours (like the cameo in Priety Zinta’s new film) but knows who to say no to!
…Having Major Relationship Dramas
His tempestuous relationships (Sangeeta, Somy, Ash, Katrina etc) are legendary. But the wild cat has mellowed down! Today, he is good friends and friend in need with all his exes – Sangeeta, Somy and Kat. Of course, a certain Ms Rai is still out of bounds.
