Those who think only A-list male actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn attract the catcalls, whistles and fan frenzy, clearly haven’t seen the impact Kareena Kapoor has on audiences. Screaming men and women falling over each other to get close to her, the security guards having a tough time to control the crowds and fans going berserk for a touch or a smile… these scenes, normally witnessed during an SRK or Sallu visit, were replayed at Lamcy Plaza where Kareena, along with director Madhur Bhandarkar and producer Siddharth Roy Kapoor had gone to promote Heroine in an event organised by Dream Advertising. Indeed, when it comes to creating a splash, there is no one quite like Bebo. She demands (and gets) the best treatment. So earlier in the day, you had the actress, arriving in true ‘heroine-style’ in a sea plane off the shores of the Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa before entering the yacht which was the venue for the press meet! Needless to say, the shutterbugs couldn’t stop clicking as Bebo pouted and pirouetted to her heart’s content. It was a role she loved playing the most – that of being everyone’s centre of attention. In fact, Kareena is not just a photographer’s delight but also an interviewer’s. She’s an actress who doesn’t believe in fake modesty or diplomacy!
