Why Bips was spooked
Strange things happen on the sets of ‘Atma’ but is it just a PR stunt?
The Bipasha Basu and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Atma, seems to be giving its makers real chills. True to the supernatural subject of this film, the cast and crew were witness to some unexplained things which happened during the making of the film
The first incident took place when director Suparn Verma was shooting for a scene with his headset on. In the middle of the scene, along with the voices of the actors, he heard a woman singing! He took his headphones off out of shock but did not see anything. It was only after Bipasha asked him whether he had heard a woman singing that he acknowledged that he had. Strange as it sounds, this mysterious woman’s singing wasn’t recorded when the tapes were played back!
This incident had barely taken place when another happened involving a photo frame. During the shooting of a scene with Nawazuddin, a photo frame on the wall behind him came crashing down. What was spooky was that there was no wind in the room, nor any movement from the film’s crew that disturbed that frame.
If all this is true then the cast and crew definitely had a close encounter of the supernatural kind. But if it isn’t, they should perhaps ask their PR machinery to think of more convincing incidents to spook the audience!
