Boman visits shady stores

As ‘Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi’ gears up for release, here’s some inside info on how Boman Irani went about prepping for his role! In order to get the character of a lingerie salesman right, he visited several stores selling inner wear in South Mumbai to observe their techniques. These include checking out the counter staff who try to behave as matter-of-factly with their customers in order not to embarrass them. Boman says, “They sell inner wear like they’re selling any other commodity. There’s no hush-hush factor involved. But I did notice the way they folded items and put them back into boxes and those aspects of service.”

Being completely different from the roles he’s played earlier, this will be a Boman Irani screen show to look forward to! As for the sales aspect, he’s had prior experience, having been a retailer who sold wafers at Grant Road. Boman is thankful for the know-how. As he says, “I know how the business and attitude works… the routine of greeting customers, introducing them to your products and ultimately selling them!”
