Jacqueline to lead I Day Parade in New York
The organisers probably forgot she is Sri Lankan!
She's originally from Sri Lanka, but Jacqueline Fernandez is taking roots in Bollywood and it seems to have strengthened her Indian ties. That’s probably the only reason why she was approached to be part of the Indian Independence Day Parade in New York on August 15.
Deepika Padukone and Rani Mukerji have attended the parade in the past. A source close to the actress revealed to a newspaper that Jacky is thrilled to be invited and is keen to fly to NYC later this month. The only hitch is that her dates had been already committed for the next spell of ‘Race 2’. Last heard, she's trying to get a couple of days off. And being a thorough professional, she's conveyed to the film's makers that she's willing to work extra hours before that to complete her scenes for this schedule.
Now, it remains to be seen if she'll really be able to make it to NYC or not.
