Has Kareena called off her October wedding?
The buzz is that she doesn’t want to put her career on the backburner
Kareena Kapoor is arguably going through the best phase in her career. With ‘Heroine’ and later ‘Talaash’ up for release this is definitely a make or break year for her especially considering how the competition in the form of Deepika, Anushka, Katrina and Vidya is heating up. Perhaps that’s the reason why she feels getting married right now might not be such a good idea after all.
The buzz from Bollywood is that Kareena has decided to play it safe and reportedly is having second thoughts about her October wedding to Saif Ali Khan after the discouraging industry response to her plans. For instance, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had openly said that he doesn’t want a ‘married heroine’ to play Juliet in his ‘Ram Leela’ after Bebo walked out of the film at the last moment.
Sources say Bebo knows that at this point of time it wouldn’t be wise for her to give any ground to her rivals and feels she might not get quality films if she is married. Being the understanding boyfriend, Saif is apparently willing to compromise.
Sharmila Tagore who had sounded excited about the October 16 wedding earlier, also admitted to a newspaper that the wedding might not happen as planned.
Incidentally, this is the second time that the marriage has been postponed. Earlier it was said that they would tie the knot after the release of ‘Agent Vinod’.
Whatever be the case, this is just another twist in the ‘will they won’t they’ Saif-Kareena marriage story.
