Healthy versions of traditional favourites, think baked fatayers and sambouseks
Dusit International launched an ‘Eat Well, Feel Well’ campaign earlier in the year, and they are now applying these principles to their Ramadan menu. Executive Chef Mani is preparing speciality dishes such as fresh lamb ouzi, but opting for a healthier version where saffron rice in olive oil replaces the traditional Oriental rice with meat. Fatayers and sambousek are baked not fried, yoghurt is low-fat, and the cuts of lamb and beef are lean to reduce cals without sacrificing taste.
