Aamir’s son Junaid makes Bollywood debut
The 17-year-old will go behind the camera
Aamir is a proud man these days with his personal and professional life on an even keel. His 17-year-old son Junaid has apparently decided that Bollywood is where his heart lies! Reports say he will making his debut as an assistant director to Rajkumar Hirani on the film 'Peekay' which stars dad Aamir too!
However, protective dad Aamir has reservations about Junaid getting into films at such an early age. His main concern is that Junaid might focus his attention solely on the film and neglect his studies in the bargain as he is still in college. Junaid though seems far older than his years. He has apparently assured his dad that under no circumstances will he ignore his studies!
On the other hand, Aamir and Vidhu Vinod Chopra (who presents Peekay), are extremely impressed with Junaid’s eye for details. The boy has been on many of his dad’s sets which is why he got to learn a lot about the technicalities of filmmaking from Mr. Perfectionist himself. Despite this, Junaid has a mind of his own and is sharp and quick-witted like dad!
For a 17-year-old, this is a dream start and he isn’t wasting a minute. He is apparently already on his way, travelling with the film’s unit to various places in the country to finalise locations.
