Karan Johar and Sanjay Bhansali at war again

Some people just cannot be friends and Sanjay Leela Bansali and Karan Johar seem to fall in this category! Just when everyone thought things between them were peachy – Sanjay had attended Karan’s 40’s birthday bash – they are avoiding each other again.

The venue was the Farah Khan-Boman Irani starrer 'Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi’s promotional event, a film co-produced by Sanjay and directed by sister, Bela Sehgal. While Farah and Boman came dressed as Shah Rukh and Kajol from Karan’s 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', as a spoof, Sanjay was noticeably absent from the event. Now people are insisting that this is because Karan was the star guest!

And industry insider says, “It was nothing short of a miracle that Sanjay attended Karan’s birthday bash. But it appears they can only be that cordial with each other. For Sanjay to miss his own sister’s film’s promotion does raise questions, especially since K Jo was present!”

What seems to have triggered the animosity again is Sanjay losing out on Kareena Kapoor for 'Ram Leela', to Karan, one of Bebo’s closest friends. The cold war dates back to when Karan spoofed SLB’S character in the Punit Malhotra directed 'I Hate Luv Stories'. Apparently, Sonam Kapoor provided details for the character, from her experiences as an AD on SLB’s 'Black'.
