The actor has splurged on very expensive new piece of property post his success
Sonu Sood, we are happy to say, seems to have made a fair amount of moolah post his spate of box office hits.
Apparently the actor has just bought a spacious 6000 square feet duplex home at the high profile Minerva Towers overlooking the Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai! An insider tells us, “Sonu learnt about the new tower from a friend. After a visit to the site, he decided to own an apartment in the 82-floor building.”
Sonu has apparently bought two flats – one on the 50th and the other on the 51st floor – which will convert to a duplex. The Minerva Towers property (one of the tallest buildings in the city) has cost him a reported INR20crore (approximately Dhs 8 million)!! The amenities that come with this purchase: a high-end gym, climate controlled pool and a cricket pitch! And now we hear that the actor may even shift as high up as the 71st floor…
Well kudos to him for enjoying his new star status! When he first came to Mumbai he stayed as a paying guest and later shared a studio apartment with six people and faced water, electricity and rat problems. After 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne' (2006), he got himself a two-bedroom apartment and two years ago, he moved to a four bed-sitter in the same building. As of 2012, Minerva Towers is on the agenda! Sonu’s comment? “I don’t like to talk about my personal life…”
