Chitrangda to perform live for ‘Joker’

The upcoming Shirish Kunder film ‘Joker’, starring Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Shreyas Talpade, Minissha Lamba and others has been in the news. Now the makers of the film have come up with an innovative promotional campaign.

A source says, “UTV has tremendous faith in the film, hence even the promotions of the film will be planned on a big scale. In fact soon people will be spotting aliens in the country."

"Apart from the aliens, UTV feels that the audio tracks of the film will be a high selling point, besides there is also Chitrangda's item song, 'Kafirana'. For that, the promotions will be really big, in fact she will be doing live shows in Mumbai and Delhi. But the interesting part is that these will be Chitrangda's first ever live stage performances," says the source.

While Chitrangda will be have stand alone shows like song promotion events the production house UTV hasn't yet decided whether they will be doing road shows. However, the promotions will literally be out of this world!

‘Joker’ which is co-produced by Akshay Kumar’s Hari Om Entertainment, Three's Company and UTV Motion Pictures releases on August 31, 2012.
