The police say the actor was not present in the car

Reports say a 70-year-old woman was allegedly mowed down to death near Bandra on Sunday by a car that reportedly belonged to actor Sohail Khan.

The actor's driver was allegedly behind the wheels of the Lexus car. While eyewitnesses said that the actor too was present in the car at the time of accident, the police have denied this.

Meanwhile, the driver, who was taken into custody, was made to undergo an alcohol test that turned out to be negative.

The incident occurred at 11 pm on Sunday. A case of rash driving and causing death by negligence has been registered against the driver.
