Switch at the Dubai Mall
Gorge on sumptuous international cuisine

Switch at The Dubai Mall
Whenever you step into a restaurant, you have an idea of what the food is going to be like. However what happens if you are about to try something you have never tasted before in your life? Well, you just go with your gut instincts, be adventurous enough to try it out and hope for the best! That’s exactly what I did when I went to Switch, the sleek restaurant in
The Dubai Mall that beckoned with its exciting spread of camel meat delicacies and new nutella-inspired desserts and main course dishes!
My friend and I began safe with a greek salad and some mocktails. Frankly, the salad was disappointing. The ingredients were very fresh but too much vinegar rendered it a sour taste.
The spicy garlic prawns was rather mildly spiced but I loved the freshness of the prawns and slightly tangy flavour.
Then came the dish we were waiting for – camel tenderloin. The camel steak with herbed new potatoes and asparagus topped with special mushroom sauce was quite a treat. Tender and juicy, it takes a while to get used to the taste, but camel meat is a must-try for health reasons as well – it has a very high protein content and low in fat. If you are not sure about steaks, there are also camel burgers and camel sliders (four mini burgers with thousand island, lettuce, tomato and caramalised onion topped with Swiss cheese).
The recently added nutella bar is worth a dekko, if like me, you love nutella. From nutella pizzas to brownies to puddings and cheesecake and wraps, it’s a chocoholics’ dream come true. Indulge if you have a sweet tooth!
