Arjun Kapoor signed for ‘2 States’

Sajid Nadiadwala admits he’s thrilled to collaborate with K Jo on ‘2 States’ since Yash Johar was his mentor. And these two giant producers have finalised Arjun Kapoor as the hero of their collaborative venture.

According to the grapevine, earlier rumours of Shah Rukh and Ranbir being considered for the role were just that – rumours! The only hero in the running was Imran Khan but due to a date crunch, the actor has lost out to Arjun. Apparently Imi was only able to commit to ‘2 States’ in February-March 2013, while Sajid wanted to start this year in September since the project has been hold for almost two years. But with hands joined and a unanimous verdict, both Karan and Sajid say there’s no one better than Arjun Kapoor to fit this role! Sajid said, “Arjun is a cool dude who’s turned into a good actor and a heartthrob for millions,” while Karan remarked, “Arjun is wonderful and a supremely talented addition to the young bracket of actors in the movie industry.”

‘2 States’ will be directed by debutant Abhishek Varman, who has adapted the book and has also worked with Karan on ‘My Name is Khan’ and ‘Student of the Year’.
