Armani's Ristorante

Ristorante has quite a formidable reputation in Dubai; it reigns supreme as the definitive place to sample Italian cuisine at its haute best. Sleek and inviting, the neutral beige hues are tempered into cosy warmth with the minimal lighting and discretely placed cushions that nestle the small of your back. Ambience aside, what startles you into absolute luxury is the service; there were at least three servers explaining each intricate detail of our delicious fare to us.

The food was impeccable to say the least. We savoured course upon course of exquisitely adorned platters. Highlights include the Risotto Porcini – a creamy truffled delight of a risotto, subtly peppered with the most decadent flavour. The ingenious Millefoglie Di Verdure, Gratinata Al Parmigiano Cappuccino Alla Nocciola (a vegetable mille feuille generously strewn with parmigiano and hazelnut cappuccino) flaked at my fork’s touch and simply melted with a medley of taste on my tongue. It is nothing like I have tried before. However, nothing blew us away, taste buds and all, like La Sfera – a sugared sphere blown in the manner glass is, delicately filled with crème brûlée and cassis sorbet. To top off its brilliance with Dubai-worthy decadence, there are gold flakes placed on top. After all, one can’t boast of decadence in Dubai without some bling!

Ristorante is an experience to be savoured, the taste of which will remain in your mind’s eye far after your meal is done. We highly recommend it for a special occasion.
