Aamir keeps his word to female cab driver
The superstar hired her taxi while he was in Delhi
Trust Aamir Khan to be different from the others. He is already making waves with his show ‘Satyamev Jayate’ which takes up a different social issue in each week and now he has proved that he really means everything he says.
In one of the episodes dealing with domestic violence Aamir had featured Shanno, a victim of violence who is now a cab driver. The actor had promised her that whenever he visited Delhi, he would hire her vehicle and that is exactly what he did.
On June 21, Aamir arrived in Delhi for two days to present his research on medical malpractices to the Parliament, when he hired a cab from Sakha, the agency that Shanno works with. Incidentally, the agency, Sakha, also helps victims of domestic violence.
For the two days that Aamir was in Delhi, he made it a point to travel all around the city in Shanno's cab. Meenu Vadera, who runs Sakha, says, "Aamir kept his word. He used our service."
