Dharamendra was there at Esha’s engagement
There were rumours that he had given the ceremony a miss
At Esha Deol’s grand sangeet ceremony held a couple of days ago, there was only one question on everyone’s lips – where was dad Dharamendra? While some reports suggested that he had not attended the most important day in his daughter’s life, others said he was in the US because of healthy concerns.
However, the veteran actor has now come out in the open and cleared the air. He said to a tabloid, “I was very much there. But I avoided the cameras as far as possible. It was an evening meant for the kids. I decided to take a backseat.”
Hema Malini too confirmed that Dharam was present at the do but stayed away from the cameras. Apparently, the actor was present for a short while only and when Esha and fiancé Bharat Takhtani requested him for a picture, he begged off.
Dharam also clarified that he had indeed gone to the US but not for any health reasons but to visit his daughter who is settled there.
We hope that shuts the gossipmongers up.
