There were reports that the actor had been hospitalised in Mumbai
According to the latest reports, legend Rajesh Khanna has been admitted to the Lilavati hospital in Mumbai. There were serious concerns about his failing health but his daughter Twinkle claims that the actor is recovering. "He's really exhausted and weak, but he's recovering. Not sure when he will be discharged," she said.
Rajesh Khanna has been unwell for quite sometime and lately stopped food intake too. His estranged wife Dimple Kapadia, daughters Rinke, Twinkle and son-in-law Akshay Kumar have been taking care of him. A few days ago worried fans lined up outside his house and Rajesh Khanna happily obliged by waving to them and showing them the 'V' for victory sign from the balcony of his house. He was dressed in a crisp white kurta, a stole and dark shades.
With a heavily bearded look, he appeared weak, but seemed to be in high spirits as he sported the same smile which in his heydays made millions of his female fans' hearts skip a beat.
Earlier in April, Khanna was admitted to hospital following uneasiness and weakness. The veteran actor, considered Bollywood's first superstar, has acted in over 150 films. Fondly called 'Kaka' by his fans, Khanna ruled the industry in the 1960s and 1970s with films like 'Aaradhana', 'Anand' and 'Bawarchi'.
Rajesh Khanna was last seen in a television commercial of Havells Fans.
