Rumour has it he will reprise the role of an SP in Bihar in Prakash Jha's new flick
If you loved how Ajay Devgn’s character fought against corruption and nepotism in ‘Gangaajal,’ then get ready to see Ajay again in the same avatar.
Rumor has it that the 43-year-old will feature in the sequel to the 2003 hit movie directed by Prakash Jha.
Although Devgn and Jha seemed to have had a fallout because of the political thriller ‘Rajneeti,’ it's believed that the two have put aside their differences aside to collaborate for ‘Gangaajal 2.’ The movie is believed to go on the floors by 2013.
Speaking to a tabloid, Jha revealed that filming for ‘Gangaajal 2’ would start after work on his projects ‘Charkravyuh’ and ‘Satyagrah’ with Amitabh Bachchan was completed. He also said that it had been his dream for a very long time to take the brand of ‘Gangaajal’ forward.
A source revealed that Jha was still working on the script of ‘Gangaajal 2,’ but had narrated the basic storyline to Ajay. It was a given that the second part would also be set in Bihar like the prequel.
Apparently, Devgn rubbed Jha the wrong way, when he complained that his role in the 2010 blockbuster ‘Ranjneeti’ hadn’t shaped up the way he had imagined. Since then, there has been a rift between the two. Apparently, Ajay’s animosity had been so severe that he had backed out of Jha’s 2011 film ‘Aarakshan’ at the last minute.
Well, we sure do hope Ajay doesn't disappoint his fans by backing out of this project too.
