Farah Khan's brash and bold role
She is brazen as a 40 plus woman in love in her debut film ‘Shirin Farhad’
In the promo, Farah is seen quite unabashedly adjusting her assets in front of the mirror and mouthing innuendos. But what was most interesting was seeing the famed choreographer do some weird dance steps.
When the 47-year-old was asked about her daring antics for the movie, she said that she played the role of a woman who experiences love only when she is 40 years old and that the overpowering emotions make her do crazy things.
The director-turned-actress expressed that she tried to be as natural as possible in front of the camera and that the only way she could achieve that was by pretending that she was having a conversation with the camera. She also added that the producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali (Bela Sehgal’s brother) possibly had a hard laugh when she was made to do awkwardly funny steps in floral tops and jersey trousers for a rain song called ‘Khatti Meethi Strawberry,’ in the film.
‘Shirin Farhad’ has made a lot of buzz already because of Farah’s acting debut alongside Boman Irani and her 10 kilo weight loss for the same.
