Aishwarya ignores weight gain jibes at Cannes
She showed off her curvy figure in an Elie Saab gown at the Film Festival
When she stepped on the red carpet in her gorgeous Abu Jani sari and jacket for the amFAR auctions (which raised a total of Dhs 40 million for AIDS research), critics pointed out at the weight gain. However, the actress hasn’t let the negative reactions bother her. On day 3 of the prestigious festival, she flaunted her curvaceous figure in a shimmering blue gown designed by Elie Saab. Her glowing complexion and impeccable dressing sense drew plenty of attention as she pooh-poohed the jibes.
The 38-year-old said that she wasn’t bothered about the nasty comments made about her weight gain. Since every actor was in the public eye, there were bound to be opinions. She added that she wasn’t ever going to diet to lose her post pregnancy weight and that it was important to have a healthy lifestyle. Ash further went on to say that motherhood was blissful and that she would be thrilled to have another baby with hubby Abhishek Bachchan.
This has been Ash’s 10th appearance in a row for Cannes as one of L’oreal's ambassadors.
