The filmmaker criticised Sanjay’s interference after ‘Department’s poor show at the BO

There is another big feud brewing in B’wood. This time the men involved in the big fight are director Ram Gopal Varma and the lead actor of his latest action film ‘Department’ that tanked at the BO - Sanjay Dutt.
RGV took to Twitter and blatantly expressed his dislike for the actor saying “Whatever else is happening to 'Department', I am supremely happy that I don't need to see the faces of Sanjay Dutt and Dharam Oberoi for rest of my life (sic).” Dharam Oberoi is a film producer and the CEO of Sanjay Dutt Productions, and his previous projects include films such as 'Plan' and 'Dus Kahaniyaan.'
Insiders believe that RGV was annoyed at Sanjay’s interference in his filmmaking process. RGV’s previous tweet read “Frm forcing me 2 take kangana out of the film 2 constantly cornering me 2 change screenplay I had the most horrible time wrking wth dutt," and “If Dutt n Oberoi think I am the bad in Dept let's wait for 'Zilla Ghaziabad' and Soham's film whr I am not there 2 spoil their creative inputs."
In return Sanjay Dutt, publicly directed his vitriol at RGV and admitted that he was not very sure that he was ever going to work with RGV again.
Despite an impressive star cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Rana Daggubati and good publicity, RGV’s ‘Department’ which was made on a budget of nearly Dhs 20 million struggled to collect Dhs 4 million in three days at the BO.
It’s obvious that the disappointing BO collection along with criticism about the film’s dizzying camera angles and a lackluster script have upset RGV but we wonder if he thinks starting a feud and gaining notoriety is going to help the movie’s performance in any way!
