His film ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’ with 370 characters was made with no help from B’wood

Hard work reaps sweet benefits. One man who is presently enjoying the adulation and attention because of all his hard work is none other filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.
His two-part movie ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’ which will be screened at the 65th Cannes International Film Festival is creating a lot of buzz because it has about 370 characters; 280 of the characters have their own dialogues which adds to the fast pace of the storyline.
Still the director who was expected to be jovial because of the global response to his movie was caught in a bitter mood when the media contacted him a few days ago. He expressed to a tabloid that he had undergo a lot of struggle to convert his dreams to reality because he had no support from B’wood. The director who is known for his avant-garde style of films further said that he had to get help from outside and that some noted filmmakers overseas stood by him. Finally he added that he was happy that his films were being funded from outside and that he was less dependent on Indian studios now.
Well, it’s no secret that Kashyap is close friends with the ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ director Danny Boyle, who it is rumoured is producing Kashyap’s next film ‘Bombay Velvet’.
