Actors being considered for 'Jailbreak', allegedly based on Charles Sobhraj's life
Mangat's film is touted to be an adventure thriller with a budget of Dhs 27 million. Rumor has it that the same movie was initially thought to be directed by Prawaal Raman (‘Darna Mana Hai,’ ‘Gayab’) and was to star Sanjay Dutt. This project, however, was later shelved. Rumour has it Emraan Hashmi or Saif Ali Khan will be considered for the lead role instead of Sanjay.
The makers of the film have also found a way to avoid the legal complications related with the controversial subject. A source said that the movie was not going to be declared as an official biopic based on Charles Sobhraj and that the title of the movie was going to be changed from ‘Charles’ to ‘Jailbreak.’ The main plot of the film is also believed to be centered on the cops who arrested Sobhraj. Well, given the spate of action thrillers we wonder how this movie will have edge over the others.
