It looks like hunk John Abraham won’t have to spend dark days in prison as he has been released on probation for the rash driving case he was involved in six years ago.
After attending Maureen Wadia's Gladrags show in 2006, John allegedly rammed his Yamaha Hayabusa bike into a bicycle and injured two youngsters named Shyam (aged 22) and Tanmay (aged 19) in Bandra. Soon after, one of the victims lodged an FIR and John was booked for rash driving and endangering the life or personal safety of others.
But now with the latest proceedings in the case, it has been learnt that the victims along with their families filed an affidavit in court stating that they had no objection to the conviction being quashed as they had reached a settlement with the actor. The Bombay high court then upheld the 15-day prison sentence for John and released him on probation.
The terms under which John has been released stipulate that he needs to pay a compensation of Dhs688 to each of the victims by the end of the week.
