Amitabh Bachchan ready to work with Rekha
But will any filmmaker come up with a great script for the two legends?
During his heydays (and even now) Amitabh Bachchan was quite popular with the ladies with his deep baritone and tall, dark and handsome appeal. Among all his co-stars, his pairing with Rekha was the most talked about and their alleged link-up continues to be fodder for gossip even today.
But even Big B could not have anticipated that what is usually talked in whispers would be asked to him directly! At a recent promotional event for his upcoming movie ‘Department’ directed by Ram Gopal Varma and starring Sanjay Dutt and Rana Daggubati, there was a deep hush when a journalist asked the veteran actor if he was comfortable working with Rekha and whether he would be seen with the actress on screen anytime soon.
The 69-year-old superstar was stunned for a moment but soon regained composure and said that if there was a great script, he would be glad to star opposite Rekha.
Close on the heels of this news, comes the rumour that Rekha is coming out of her self-imposed exile. Not only will she be seen in the Parliament as a member of the Rajya Sabha, she will also be spotted in the judges’ panel for the reality dance show ‘Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa.’
Now, will any filmmaker be audacious enough to write a script that brings the two legends together? Ardent fans of both actors would surely be hoping that they would recreate the magic they had in 'Muqaddar Ka Sikandar', 'Mr Natwarlal' and 'Silsila'.
