The stunning actress will reprise the role for a documentary directed by Zoya Akhtar
When the song ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ from the film ‘Tees Maar Khan’ was first released it became a sensation. Not only did the song’s catchy music get everyone’s attention but its item girl, Katrina Kaif, captured a million hearts with her perfect body and impressive dancing chops.
Fans aside, ace director Zoya Akhtar also seems to be a huge Sheila fan. The 39-year-old director who has the films ‘Luck By Chance’ and ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ to her credit apparently wants to film a documentary titled ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ to commemorate 100 years of B’wood.
According to a source, when Zoya was approached to helm the documentary she felt that the popular song ‘Sheila Ki Jawaani track’ with its jhatkas and matkas was the right example to showcase B’wood because B’wood was essentially a glamour struck industry.
It is believed that the documentary will be centered on a man who is a huge fan of item songs and loves the song ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ the most. He also has a desire to meet the real Sheila. The documentary will, through one man's story, feature how people are fascinated with B’wood movies and stars. It will apparently be shot in Mumbai and will include original footage of the song which was choreographed by Farah Khan.
Kat confirmed that she will be a part of the documentary when the media approached her.
